Santa’s Reply Letters – North Pole Postmark

The Postal Service is helping create holiday memories for children. Parents, guardians and other Santa’s helpers can craft a response from Santa and mail it in a second envelope to the Fairbanks, AK, Post Office. Postal elves at the nearby North Pole Post Office will open the envelopes, postmark Santa's reply letters and mail them back to the children they are addressed to.

After writing Santa's response letter, place it in a stamped envelope addressed to the intended recipient. “Santa, North Pole, Alaska,” should be included as the return address in the upper left corner of the envelope. This envelope should then be placed into a larger, properly stamped First-Class Mail or Priority Mail envelope with your correct return address and mailed to:

North Pole Christmas Cancellation
Postmaster
5400 Mail Trail
Fairbanks AK 99709-9998

North Pole postmark requests must arrive in Fairbanks, AK, before Dec. 15, 2007. Please mail your request by Dec. 10.

Customers interested in obtaining the North Pole Postmark on greeting cards should mail them to the address above, following the same directions. Please make sure that the stamped envelopes are sealed and contain cards or other inserts (empty envelopes can be damaged by high-speed sorting equipment).

I don't know if anyone is in the market for a bounce house, but we just got an awesome deal on this one from step2. Its $149.99 with free shipping and no tax and its got great reviews on the website! We've been kinda looking around for good deals on a bounce house for Caleb and this was too good of a deal! Plus the sports theme will go with his "beesball birdday!" as he calls it!

I am sooo excited! 3 weeks away!!! My baby is going to be THREE!

This is a video that the group we adopted Susie from puts on their website of successful adoptions. Move the bar to about 7:49 to see our picture. It pretty much depicts our family minus Houdini.

I hate the month of August. I know its still technically part of summer, but since school always started in August, it felt like it should cool down and be fall. Its such a weird month.

I am so ready for it to cool off. Its been so stinking hot and humid for a very long time. Unfortunately, it won't be getting better for a couple of months.

Two Saturdays ago, when Jason was in CT, Houdini cracked his dew claw straight up the middle. I took him the ER vet because he was in pain. They told me that it would just fall out, it will be fine. Our vet called to check up on him Tuesday morning and I told them that it seems to bother him every once in a while so we brought him in the afternoon. The decision was made to put him under the next morning so they could remove it without it being traumatic. So the next morning I dropped him off, then Caleb and I picked him up in the afternoon. He had a bandage on so had to wear an Elizabethian collar at night so he wouldn't pick at it. That evening, I noticed that Susie was having more accidents (sigh) than usual in the house and that it seemed like she had spots of blood in her pee. So the next morning when the vet called to check on Houdini, we made an appt for Susie that afternoon. She has a bladder infection, so we got antibiotics for her. The next day we went back to the vet to get Houdini's bandage removed.

So if you were keeping track, that was five out of seven days that we were at the vet. Four days in a row. Caleb was really enjoying going to the doctor for Dini and Susie's booboos. We also spent a crazy amount of money, but what can you do?

It looks like we will be getting a fence in right before Caleb's birthday. The handyman that our realtor recommended to us is doing the labor for less than HALF what Lowe's labor was and he uses a fence outlet place that has a better quality fence at a better price. So the fence will be done for less then the labor that Lowe's was going to charge us. Ridiculous, right?

We went to Lowe's yesterday for weed trimmer string and ended up getting a lawn tractor. Thank GOD!!! We have a little over a 1/4 acre, so its a sizeable yard, and Jason's been using a self-propelled since we've moved down here. He was just excited to have a yard to mow and didn't think he'd need a tractor. I hated seeing him out there. Its freaking miserable, even at 7:30-8pm. By the time he would get done (hour and a half to two hours) he would be completely dripping with sweat and sick! I was honestly worried that he was going to pass out sometimes. So now, he'll be able to mow, edge, trim hedges and weeds all in the same day! I'm so excited as if I was the one that mowed! It'll still suck to do it in the afternoon, because it sucks just being outside in the afternoon, but atleast he could do it in the evenings and get it finished before dark. And if not, the tractor has headlights :)

The baby baking is doing good. I'll be 15 weeks on Tuesday. Caleb's birthday is next month and I cannot wait. He's already getting excited too. I made a little banner for his baseball birthday party and he was talking to his grandpa saying "beesball! birday!" He's loving all sports right now. I've been having a blast planning his party! He's going to have so much fun!

I never mentioned this, but on Jason's birthday a month ago, we got him some shirts, a pair of shorts, and a pair of sunglasses for yard work and wrapped them up. Caleb kept wanting to unwrap the presents and kept saying "FOR ME?! FOR ME?!" and was having a fit! I had to hide them until Jason came home and he was not shy about helping unwrap.

I will post some pictures later of what I've got so far for his party! Its just going to be sooo stinking cute!

I know a lot of you will not understand the joy I am feeling when I tell you that I just bought a gallon of Del's Frozen Lemonade dry mix ( http://www.onlyinrhodeisland.com/delslemonade.html ) but I am thrilled!!! We would always stop to get one if we saw a vendor either at the beach or on the way back from the airport. I didn't get to have a final one before we left Connecticut, but Jason did and I've never let him forget it. This is going to be awesome down here!!! Oh they are sooo delicious! Now we just need to get a blender since our magic bullet crapped out!

OOOH! I am so excited! Seriously, what did we do without the internet?!
